Volunteer Opportunities in Cape Town

Make every day Mandela Day

Volunteering – whether for for Mandela Day or any other day – is not only a fantastic way to honour the legacy of the great Nelson Mandela but also a chance to make a positive impact on the world around us. Spend a little time choosing the right project for you, and you may well find your 67 minutes filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of camaraderie that will leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Not only does volunteering allow you to give back to your community in a meaningful way, but you get the added bonus of meeting new people and forging friendships along the way.

And it is a fact that volunteering is good for your own well-being. It has been scientifically proven that acts of kindness release endorphins, those wonderful little chemicals that boost your mood and bring a calm sense of fulfilment. So not only are you helping others, but you’re also boosting your own happiness levels in the process.

Volunteering is something that should be on everyone’s CV or LinkedIn profile, and – by sharing your experience on social media – not only can you boost the profile of the project you’ve assisted, but you might even inspire others to join you in your noble quest.

So, mark Mandela Day on your calendar, put on your volunteer cape, and get ready for a day of spreading love, meeting new people, and making a difference. Remember, every small act of kindness counts, and together, we can create a world that Madiba would be proud of.

Here are some of our ideas. Let us know what we should add!
