St Luke’s Pairing in the Valley Brings An Elegant Evening of Good Wine For A Good Cause

In the picturesque Constantia winelands, guests enjoy a wine-and-canapé pairing experience while giving to a good cause. Pairing in the Valley is designed for couples, friends, corporates, and supporters to enjoy an elegant evening of award-winning Constantia Glen wine and dining at discounted prices in one of the city’s most beloved settings.

Known for their intense varietal Sauvignon Blancs and deeply textured reds, Constantia Glen is a household name for wine enthusiasts in the Cape – with cellarmaster Justin van Wyk being named Diner’s Club Winemaker of the Year in 2021. Whether it’s their more affordable bottles that suit most occasions, or their premium flagship blends that are ideal for a celebratory drink, Constantia Glen wines make for a great highlight in any wine tasting experience.

The wine estate itself is another major attraction, offering panoramic views of rolling vineyards, distant hills, and both Constantiaberg and Table Mountain. The evening kicks off with an exclusive auction of curated items, including fine wines, gifts, holiday and lifestyle experiences, jewellery, and fine art, with a 45-minute preview slot for everyone to decide what they want to bid on before the main event starts at 6.15pm.

Thereafter, the five-course canapé-and-wine pairing experience begins, unfolding over several hours as guests indulge in food and drink after the sun sets. The evening is led by an expert sommelier who discusses the intricacies of each blend, while guests simultaneously learn more about St Luke’s work through the communities it serves.

Every ticket purchased and every auction item supported helps St Luke’s Combined Hospices, which provides medical care and palliative support to over 60 vulnerable patients and their families, as well as counselling, food parcels, social worker support, and practical care to those in need.
