With locations all across the Mother City’s most beloved suburbs, including Woodstock, the Waterfront, Rondebosch, and City Centre, 2Klip asks users to guess exactly where certain hotspots are. Whether it’s a friendly neighbourhood bookshop in Salt River or a cafe in Langa, players must pin the spot on the map.

The little creatures dotted throughout the map help give hints about where each location might be. Players get unredeemable points based on how close they are to the target: a bullseye guess within 50m of the location is worth up to 1000 points. Users can compete in daily games, or show off their knowledge of their favourite suburbs with dedicated area maps. Beyond Cape Town, users can tap the location search icon to try their hand at guessing locations across South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, India, Mexico, and the US.

Anyone can play, but users who sign up with their name, email, and phone number can compete on the leaderboards against the best of the best. Even better, each week has a special prize for the best-performing player, including helicopter tours of the Atlantic Coast worth up to R4,500 and much more. For playing the game, users also get BUK2, 2Klip’s currency, which they can redeem for necessities like airtime and grocery vouchers.

2Klip has added a multiplayer mode, allowing guests to invite friends to private lobbies and compete to prove who knows their favourite areas best.
