Here’s everything you need to know.

All About the Tree of Lights Celebration
In celebration of Christmas, this much-loved annual event invites families and friends to come together to “Light a Light, Celebrate a Life,” honoring those we hold dear while spreading hope and joy throughout the community. The event gives you a day to reflect, remember, and reconnect — a chance to celebrate cherished memories while creating new ones with loved ones.
Attendees can look forward to a magical afternoon packed with festive fun. There will be movies for kids, exciting games, arts and crafts, and face painting to keep the young ones smiling. Parents and friends can unwind with live entertainment and music that sets the tone for an uplifting, heartwarming experience.
Food stalls will be serving delicious eats and treats, while special giveaways add to the cheerful spirit of the day. As the sun dips below the horizon, everyone gathers for the highlight of the evening — the lighting of the Tree of Lights. This beautiful moment fills the sky with a warm glow, symbolizing remembrance, togetherness, and the shared light of hope that shines in every heart this festive season.
St Luke’s Combined Hospices provide specialised community-based hospice and palliative care to vulnerable patients and their families with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. This is offered through an Interdisciplinary Team approach (IDT) providing quality medical, psycho-social, spiritual, and bereavement care to the greater Cape Town area and its communities.
