The full venue and movie lineup are currently live and open for advance bookings. Kirstenbosch Garden movie nights remain the Galileo’s iconic viewing space, allowing guests to experience a film in the botanical garden after dark. Selected films will also be screened at Central Park in Century City and Battery Park at the V&A Waterfront.
On weekends, certain shows take place at various wine farms across the Western Cape, such as Lourensford, Blaauwklippen, Nederburg, Leopard’s Leap, and Allée Bleue. Venues in Somerset West, Wellington, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and Paarl offer fresh settings for an unforgettable cinema experience under the stars.
Several new venues are joining the Galileo lineup for the first time. The Claremont Cricket Club in Constantia offers guests an unbeatable view of Table Mountain after sunset, while they enjoy coffee and beverages from the Clubhouse bar during the festive season. On the other side of the city, the German International School (DSK) in Tamboerskloof looks down on Cape Town’s sparkling city lights from the foot of the mountain, creating an atmospheric view for The Lion King in 2027.

What to expect at The Galileo
Each night at the Galileo is more than just a movie screening. Evenings start with pre-show trivia, and guests can enjoy a relaxed picnic or try fun games with family and friends, all set to live music on selected shows, before the movie starts.
Themed nights like Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter bring extra atmosphere as décor, activities, entertainment, fun games and competitions collide for a festive outdoor celebration with the family. Themed screening tickets come with extra goodies like popcorn and hats for an upgraded price.
Guests are always encouraged to arrive hungry and order from a range of street food and beverage vendors at the mini night market. Offerings range from cheesy movie-night pizzas from Butler’s to burgers, wraps, popcorn, and snacks, alongside gourmet coffee and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Vegetarian, vegan and halal options are available.
Starting with Before Midnight on 15 October 2026 and closing with The Greatest Showman in May 2027, now is the time to get ahead of the rest and book tickets to the upcoming Galileo season. The film lineup includes everything from classic romcoms such as Pretty Woman and E.T. to brand-new hits like Michael.
