This Halloween, the Galileo Open Air Cinema charms you to experience a spine-tingling journey into the heart of Halloween horror. Get your costumes ready, for the Special Halloween Shows are creeping back, ready to cast you into a world of frightful outdoor cinematic delight.

On 31 October 2025, adults can enjoy a chilling screening of Halloween (2018) at Kirstenbosch Garden, immersing themselves in a night of horror under the stars. The following day, families are invited to a spooktacular Kids Halloween Show at Central Park, Century City, where Monsters Inc. will be screened.

What to expect on Halloween movie night?

The enchanting marquee lawn at Kirstenbosch Garden undergoes a ghoulish transformation, the stage set for an unforgettable evening of frightful festivities. On 31 October, get engrossed into the world of Halloween (2018), a continuation of the iconic series. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode, still haunted by the night she narrowly escaped Michael Myers. 40 years later, the masked killer is back and Laurie is ready for a showdown that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

The movie will begin after sunset, enveloping you in a world of classic horror as you snuggle up under the stars. Halloween (2018) is not suitable for the little ones, as its dark and disturbing themes promise an unforgettable night of hair-raising horror for a quality Halloween experience.

Kids Halloween Screening

On 1 November the Galileo Open Air Cinema will host a spooktacular Kids Halloween Show at Central Park, Century City, for the little ones. This family-friendly Halloween event features a screening of the PG-rated movie Monsters, Inc. This animated adventure follows the lovable duo Sulley and Mike as they discover that laughter is more powerful than screams. When the adorable Boo finds her way into the monster world, it’s up to them to get her home safe — with plenty of laughs and heartwarming moments along the way.

Prepare for an evening of enchantment and chills as the movie unfolds under the cloak of night, following a playful, spooky experience filled with trick-or-treating and free face painting for kids.
