Cape Grace is gearing up for a booked-and-busy festive season, with multiple events, activities, and celebrations held across December. Whether it’s a refined Christmas lunch at the flagship Heirloom Restaurant or a cocktail party at Bascule Bar, fine diners have a lot to look forward to.
Here’s everything visitors need to know.

The Festive Programme at Cape Grace
Heirloom Restaurant once again hosts Cape Grace’s dedicated festive dining experiences, greeting guests with live piano, holiday decorations, and multiple courses of seasonal flavours and Christmas cheer.
Starters include premium Cape Grace favourites like Saldanha oysters, roasted quail, and live sushi. Mains include pistachio free-range turkey, glazed gammon, beef Wellington, and wild mushroom tortellini. Finally, dessert is a truly festive feast, featuring mince pies, summer fruit trifle, and Christmas pudding served with brandy butter.
Guests can choose the same menu for dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, or for a special Christmas Day lunch, opening Heirloom’s doors to many guests wanting to make the most of the holiday season. Cape Grace’s famed Afternoon Tea is also available from 10 December for just R650 per person.
All the while, kids can join in holiday activities designed especially for them. Whether it’s listening to fantastical Christmas tales, decorating festive biscuits, in-room milk and cookie deliveries, or even meeting Santa on Christmas Day, there’s lots for little ones to look forward to this festive season.
