This summer brings exciting new concepts, including live sport screenings, dog-friendly shows, themed nights, exclusive Royale experiences, and spectacular new venues alongside all of the fan favourites that make Galileo great.
You can once again look forward to an extensive selection of films appealing to all tastes, from classic movies to contemporary hits across genres such as romance, comedy, drama, animation, musicals, and thrillers.

The full venue and movie lineup are currently live and open for advance bookings. Their Kirstenbosch Garden movie nights continue to be one of the best ways to unwind in the botanical garden after dark. Selected films will also be screened at Central Park in Century City and Battery Park at the V&A Waterfront.
The weekend also offers shows at various wine farms, such as Lourensford, Blaauwklippen, Nederburg, Leopard’s Leap, and Allée Bleue. Venues in Somerset West, Wellington, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and Paarl offer fresh settings for an unforgettable cinema experience under the stars.

The event is more than just a film screening! The evening starts with a pre-show trivia and guests can enjoy a relaxed picnic or try fun games with family and friends, all set to live music on selected shows.
Themed nights like Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter bring extra magic as décor, activities, entertainment, and fun games and competitions collide. A great day out for the whole family, the Special Shows are not to be missed.
Arrive hungry and order from a range of street food vendors at the mini night market. Think mouth-watering pizzas from Butler’s, burgers, tasty wraps, popcorn and other yummy snacks. Vegetarian and Halal options are available, as are gourmet coffee and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Celebrate your birthday with a free ticket to The Galileo
Birthday babies celebrating their special days from October 2025 to May 2026 can now attend any show for FREE during the calendar month of your birthday. Plus, there’s also the option to get a shout-out onscreen before the movie starts.
Free Birthday Special ticket includes a movie entry, a backrest, and a blanket. Tickets must be booked online in advance at Webtickets for the movie screening of your choice and there are limited complimentary tickets are available per show.
Note that the free birthday ticket offer is not available for special screenings such as Halloween on 31 October, Halloween Kids show on 1 November, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Valentine’s Day, and Easter Friday and Easter Sunday shows.
