Catch Dalin Oliver’s Final Run of His ’90 Day Comedian’ Stand-Up Show This Week

South African comedian Dalin Oliver returns to Cape Town with his multi-award-winning, globe-trotting one-man stand-up show, ’90 Day Comedian’ from Monday, 27 October 2025 to Saturday, 1 November 2025 at the Baxter Theatre Studio.

This Cape Town run marks a special milestone as it is the 100th performance of the show. Dalin is also joined on stage for the very first time by his wife, Maxine – a chart-topping R&B singer fresh off the release of her debut EP, ‘It’s Complicated’.

Two Acts of Hilarious Comedy

Dalin opens the show with his signature stand-up and stories about performing in seven countries and 18 cities outside of South Africa – including Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands, England, France, Spain, and Germany.

The dynamic duo, fresh from tour performances in London and Horsham, England, then share the spotlight before Maxine takes centre stage for a soulful live performance that brings their story full circle in their hometown.

Dalin’s fresh from performing at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and dives into themes of identity, culture, and belonging – offering a hilarious yet moving reflection on what it means to be proudly South African in a world that often misunderstands our people, culture, rich heritage and diversity.

Over the past two years, Dalin has racked up 165 international performances in 8 countries and 23 cities, proudly flying the South African flag while connecting with audiences in Australia, England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, and the UAE.

These performances are split across one-man shows as well as an international comedy festival, fringe festivals, and club comedy gigs.

The show has also received amazing accolades, including the FRINGE WORLD Best Weekly Comedy Show Award (Perth, Australia, 2024), Comics Choice Comedy Awards, Best Solo Show Nominee (South Africa, 2024 & 2025) and the Bronze Standard Bank Ovation Award (National Arts Festival, Makhanda, South Africa, 2024).

More About Dalin Oliver

A former high school teacher turned laughter specialist, Dalin’s sharp wit and infectious charm have won over audiences locally and around the world. He is a celebrated South African comedian and sports broadcaster who has performed in 10 countries and 25 cities, entertaining audiences from all walks of life.

Dalin has five comedy specials under his belt – two of which were filmed and broadcast by local networks. He was the lead in the action-comedy Finders Keepers, which screened in cinemas nationwide, and has also appeared on Comedy Central Africa.

In addition to his stand-up success, Dalin boasts a 10-year career as a prime-time radio sports presenter and is a multi-award-nominated voice in South African sports broadcasting. He also hosts The Late Late Tackle, an online show featuring South Africa’s four-time Rugby World Cup champions, the Springboks.

From stage to screen to studio, Dalin continues to bring his trademark energy, wit, and authenticity to audiences at home and around the world.
