The Easter season isn’t quite complete without super fun Easter egg hunts in Cape Town! Some of the city’s top venues are opening up their gardens and spaces for a range of fun events running over the long weekend from 7 to 10 April this year. Kids will love the thrill of scrambling and finding chocolate treats at these fun locations, plus, once all the eggs have been found, there are Easter activities to take up a few notches.
WILLOBRIDGE SHOPPING CENTRE
Where: Willowbridge Shopping Centre (opposite Pick n Pay), 39 Carl Cronje Dr, Tyger Valley, Cape Town
Willowbridge Shopping Centre’s Easter Egg Hunt in Tyger Valley is open to kids up to 12 years, and children under 2 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Entry tickets give kids access to the space. Spend R200 or more at any of the stores at Willowbridge Shopping Centre and hand your receipt in at the Activation which is located opposite Pick ‘n Pay. MOUNT NELSON HOTEL

This Easter weekend, the expansive gardens at Mount Nelson are open for kids to go down the rabbit hole and take up a wonderful lineup of fun and unique play sessions and activities. All sessions are supervised.

SPIER WINE FARM

For an Easter egg hunt that takes the excitement factor to a different level for both kids and adults, Spier’s scavenger hunt allows the little ones to roam the farm in search of a fun Easter prize. Find an Easter Bunny clue in five different locations and collect stickers along the way. Once the map is completed with all five stickers, it may be exchanged for a parcel filled with delicious Easter treats. The hunt is suitable for kids aged 3 to 12 years.

Bugz Playpark is going big for Family Day on Monday, 10 April. Their mega hunt experience offers dedicated areas for different age groups. Beyond the hunt, activities include a special appearance by the Bugz -Bunny Crew, a magician, juggler and even a roller skating bunny too making sure there’s never a dull moment. The event is weather dependent and will move indoors should it rain.
