African Climate Alliance: Afrocentric Live Music for the Cape Town Climate Concert

The African Climate Alliance is hosting the 2024 edition of the Cape Town Climate Concert on Saturday, 1 June, an afternoon of celebration that brings awareness to the Climate Crisis and drives authentic inclusivity in the city.

This special performance opens Youth Month while uniting all Capetonians in a call for systemic change concerning climate change and related social injustices. The event will feature several powerful local music bands and a chance to learn more about the good work the organisation is doing (and how to get involved). Food and drink vendors will be on standby to round out a relaxed and informative afternoon. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Last year they released a single named ‘Hymn for Hani’, honouring activist Chris Hani 30 years after his assassination, to much acclaim.

The band has performed at numerous festivals all over the world.
