The Belgian Chamber of Commerce, together with the Consulate General of Belgium in Cape Town, is organising the 14th edition of the beloved Taste of Belgium Market, taking place on Saturday, 15 November 2025. This annual celebration of Belgian culture promises a vibrant day filled with authentic flavors, artisanal craftsmanship and lots of festive cheer. Here’s everything you need to know.

Delicious Treats, Family Entertainment, and Cultural Exploration
This annual celebration of Belgian culture promises a vibrant day filled with authentic flavors, artisanal craftsmanship and lots of festive cheer. Visitors can indulge in a wide array of Belgian sweet and savoury delicacies, from waffles and chocolates to hearty stews, fresh mussels and gourmet fries.
And what would a Belgian market be without our famous Belgian beers? The market will also showcase wines and spirits, all proudly produced by Belgians.
In addition to the culinary delights, guests can explore a curated craft market featuring handmade goods, gifts and creations from local and Belgian makers — perfect for early holiday shopping or a unique souvenir.

The festival is great for families, as children will be entertained with a range of activities, including jumping castles, face painting and sand art stations. Throughout the day, everyone can find a comfortable seat and enjoy some live music from The Incidentals, an acoustic folk-rock trio, creating a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
Parking is available at Fernwood Estate and the Stone Cottages at Kirstenbosch, with a free shuttle to the event grounds. The event is wheelchair friendly, with access to differently abled bathrooms & parking, as well as there being a mixture of tarred & grassed areas.
So, whether you’re a longtime fan of the unique Belgian culture or simply curious to discover its richness, the Taste of Belgium Market offers a warm and welcoming experience for all ages. If you haven’t had the chance to visit Belgium yet, this will be your unique opportunity to indulge in its iconic flavours!
