The World’s Elite Volleyball Players Takeover Camps Bay Beach This Week for the Beach ProTour

The iconic sandy shores of Camps Bay Beach play host to the 2025 Volleyball Beach ProTour from Wednesday to Sunday, 22 to 26 October 2025.

The Volleyball Beach ProTour Comes to Cape Town for the First Time

The world’s elite beach volleyball players are set to descend upon Cape Town for the very first time, with 96 athletes from 48 countries competing for glory on South African shores.

With the breathtaking backdrop of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Camps Bay is set to transform into a buzzing beach arena. This marks one of the most exciting stops on the global tour, bringing together fast-paced matches, beach culture, live entertainment, and a festival atmosphere.

The Beach Pro Tour is the premier global professional beach volleyball circuit for both men and women, organised by Volleyball World and the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). Securing victory on the Beach Pro Tour is regarded as one of the sport’s highest achievements, surpassed in prestige only by the World Championships and the Olympic Games.

What to Expect at the Live Matches

During the tournament, fans can expect thrilling international competition featuring top-ranked men’s and women’s teams, beachside entertainment including DJs, local food stalls, and family-friendly activities and global spotlight on Cape Town, showcasing its natural beauty, cultural energy, and world-class hospitality.

The event also holds significant value for the City of Cape Town, with matches set to be broadcast live worldwide to millions of viewers. Globally, volleyball boasts an audience of 480 million, and was the most-watched sport of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
