The Verandah Experience at Mount Nelson Hotel is one of Executive Chef George Jardine’s first signature dining experiences since taking charge of all things culinary in February 2023. 

This dinner restaurant in Cape Town is set within the hotel’s Lounge space where diners can retreat for a winter evening in the conservatory-style setting overlooking the gardens.

Drawing on his past success while driving a bold new direction, Chef George’s new menus in partnership with Sous Chef Brinelle Cunningham are hyper-seasonal and changes every two weeks. Expect a winter menu that celebrates the team’s commitment to seasonal and sustainable produce, all prepared with a firm focus on flavours and a dash of creative finesse.

Mount Nelson Hotel’s new Wild Foods Garden is also being harvested, with home-grown botanicals featuring strongly.
