Following impressive stints in South Africa and beyond, The Mount Nelson, a Belmond Hotel recently tapped George Jardine as Executive Chef at the iconic hotel in Cape Town. Many keen restaurant goers will recall Jardine’s success at restaurants Jordan (most recently), Jardine in Bree street, and Seven. That’s without mentioning his string of accomplishments including the Eat Out Chef of The Year award for two years and a spot for Jardine restaurant as one of the world’s 100 best restaurants by The S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

The Scottish-born chef brings the skills needed to transform Mount Nelson’s famous dining experiences from garden picnics and the intimate Chef’s Table treat to Sunday brunches and high teas with locally produced ingredients, fresh flavours, and modern culinary creativity.
