The Only Whisky Show: Premium Tastings, Masterclasses, and More

Presented by WhiskyBrother, The Only Whisky Show returns to the Mother City and Johannesburg, bringing together the enthusiast community from across the country to celebrate the beloved spirit.

With over 150 premium whiskies on offer, The Only Whisky Show offers even the most seasoned aficionados something new to taste, with 1000 whisky fans meeting up in Cape Town to try a mix of classic brands and rare, exclusive bottlings. Guests also have the opportunity to meet like-minded enthusiasts, brand ambassadors, and whisky producers.

WhiskyBrother have released the whisky list, with some household names and more niche labels from across the globe, including Scotland, the USA, Taiwan, and Japan.

SMWS masterclass by Olaf Meier

Chairman of the Scotch Malt Whisky Tasting Panel, Olaf Meier, makes his first visit to South Africa to offer masterclass guests a rare opportunity to taste selections from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, including a Speyside Single Malt, two Highland Single Malts and an Islay Single Malt, alongside an experienced veteran of the scene.

Irish Distillers masterclass by George Novitskas

A crowned Keeper of the Quaich and spirits professional at Pernod Ricard, George Novitskas takes the lead on this tasting of some of the most celebrated Irish whiskies. The masterclass lineup includes a Midleton, Red Spot, Jameson, and Redbreast 21-year-old.

GlenAllachie masterclass by Ronan Currie

The GlenAllachie’s Assistant Blender and Sales Assistant, Ronan Currie, showcases the famous distillery’s sherry-led single malts and more in this exclusive tasting experience. The whisky lineup for the masterclass features variously aged GlenAllachie samples, including one from their Sinteis Series and a Meikle Tòir Sherry.

Tickets are not issued for masterclasses. Each guest must present their order confirmation email on the day.

At The Only Whisky Show, newcomers and experienced connoisseurs meet to taste a wide variety of whiskeys from across the world, and learn more about the industry from trained professionals and iconic whisky brands.
