This summer’s Silo Concert series, curated by the V&A Waterfront, brings the Silo District alive, spanning genres and age groups to bring people together with the joy of music. Held every first Friday of the summer season, the Silo Concert series is a free showcase of South Africa’s most talented up-and-coming musicians.

February: Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra
The final concert of the series features Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, right in front of the Zeitz MOCAA Museum. Bring your friends, grab your spot, and soak in the music.
For over a century, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) has been at the heart of South Africa’s orchestral music. From classical symphonies and opera to jazz, pops, and contemporary collaborations, the CPO’s versatility shines. They’ve partnered with Cape Town Opera, City Ballet, and top artists, bringing orchestral music to audiences across the country.
Through youth programs like the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Masidlale, the CPO is shaping South Africa’s next generation of musicians. Recognised with the Ministerial Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, the orchestra remains a Cape Town cultural treasure.
