In the beloved, open-air space of the tranquil Tankwa Karoo, Orah Festival transforms an ancient rock canyon into a party under the starry night sky. Opening for the first time in December 2026, Orah is the latest addition to the busy music festival circuit, promising three nights of electronic music, wellness, and relaxing in a peaceful desert.
Here’s everything festival fiends need to know.

More about Orah: Where Light Finds You
On the music side, the main attraction is international French producer Philou. Originally from Paris, her sound mixes house and Latin grooves, inspired by her time spent in Brazil. After making a name for herself in smaller events, she rose to become the resident DJ of legendary Parisian nightclub Silencio, and has since played some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland Winter and Burning Man’s Mayan Warrior.
Ibiza’s Clint Lee is the other headliner, bringing his own brand of hypnotic house and tribal rhythms to the Tankwa Karoo. The DJ lineup also includes alongside local favourites, such as Vivien Paul, Loskop, Nici Nice, Stab Virus, Boaba Kieka, and The Twins Roxim.
Each day at Orah is a curated chapter of the broader experience. The opening First Light gathering on Thursday sees everyone celebrate the start of the journey by meeting at the dam wearing gold and white as the sun sets. The Presence on Friday is all about feminine energy, with yoga, breathwork, and connection workshops, followed by female-led DJ sets at night.

Wellness & Accommodation
Physical and mental wellness experiences take place alongside the weekend’s music. Encompassing everything from yoga and breathwork to sound healing and cacao ceremonies, the programme is curated by Parisha Tigermoon and Cézanne Le Clercq.
There are many stay packages available, ensuring every attendee can get the ideal accommodation situation for them. Prices start at R1950 per person for a bring-your-own camping stay in the more intimate POD 2, while those who prefer more luxurious lodging can rent out sizeable camper vans or private stone cottages.

Orah asks attendees to leave their screens and connect with a community of festivalgoers in a scenic, remote landscape, supported by electronic music headliners, wellness activities, and several communal areas.
