What to Expect at the Picnic Garden Braai

Expect a laid-back garden picnic setting designed for unhurried conversation and relaxed enjoyment. Guests are welcomed with a basket of fresh breads and butter, Klein River Gruberg cheese straws, watermelon and spanspek, as well as smoked snoek with pepperdew dip and baba ganoush to start.

Live music by Brother Man Music adds a warm, rhythmic backdrop while a generous braai-style feast takes centre stage. The grill line-up includes Muldersvlei wors, pork rashers with chutney, chicken thigh sosaties with lemon and herbs, and more delicious braai classics. Sides range from jacket potatoes with herb and garlic cottage cheese to crunchy coleslaw with coriander and sesame seed dressing, with more available for every taste palette.

Wine and cold drinks will be served throughout, with berry and vanilla ice cream cups rounding off the experience. As the evening unfolds, soft evening light settles over the farm, capturing that unmistakable late-summer feeling.
