The Killarney Power Series, round 4 in 2024, is set to deliver a full day of hot racing on 25 May (no matter the weather). It’s no secret that engines run better in cooler weather, but did you know that racing tyres lose some of their grip on a cold track? It’s all about getting the power down on the road, and that makes for ultra-close, unpredictable racing, risky passing moves and big slides when they get it wrong! Lime Property Management in association with Smile 90.4 FM presents an exciting day out in motor and bike racing.
Shorter breaks, more action, and a chance to meet the drivers
Killarney Power Series continues its new format: shorter times between categories racing in Heats 1 and 2. This means less waiting around between races for the competitors and a more exciting motorsport experience for the fans. At the same time, Spin Outlaws will be shredding rubber on the Castrol Spinning Pitch; attendees can experience this vibrant expression of street-car culture at no extra charge.
With 20 races in seven car categories and three motorcycle categories, it’s action from 8am until sunset. During the lunch break, attendees can meet the drivers and get a close look at the cars. The programme features races for modified saloon cars, classic cars, formula libre racing cars and sports and GT cars, as well as superbikes and classic superbikes, STC 650 and SSP 300 motorcycles.
Things to do for the whole family at Killarney Power Series
For the spectators at Killarney Power Series, it’s all about thrills and family fun. There are outlets around the facility serving hot snacks and cold beverages, as well as children’s play areas (including the famous Kiddies’ Korner, the coolest party zone on the West Coast, which is available for hire year-round). On Race Day, kids get to enjoy it absolutely free.
Added perks: ample safe parking, free shuttle service, & braai facilities
Spectators are welcome to move around throughout the day using the free shuttle service to watch the action from different vantage points. The pits are always open to spectators, too.
There’s ample parking all around the Killarney circuit, so bring your beach umbrella or gazebo and your cooler box, light up your skottelbraai, park next to one of our brick braais, or just pick a seat on one of the shaded grandstands and make the day your own.
