The sixth edition of the Killarney Motor Show is happening on Sunday, 5 November. Join in on a massive display than 2000 displays, vendors and interactive experiences at the biggest motor show in the Western Cape. On the cards are thrilling displays of drifting, spinning, off-road action, stunts and more, as well as live music and entertainment for the entire family. Satisfy your cravings with ice-cold beverages, comfortable sit-down dining options, and quick street food bites from the food market.
After the successful Extreme Show earlier this year, the team have implemented new plans for even better streamlined access through the gates and vastly improved parking facilities both on and off-site. Take advantage of the MyCiti buses for show visitors who park off-site which helps ensure an enjoyable day at the show for all visitors.
And if you’re in search of the latest automotive innovations, new car dealers have a dedicated test drive circuit where you can test drive the most current models throughout the day. Additionally, Killarney Motor Show is proud to host a number of vendors who offer a wide range of products and services for your vehicle.
Marvel at old and new car models and motorcycles
The Killarney Motor Show is an unmissable exhibition featuring the latest in cars, bakkies, motorcycles, and automotive accessories. It’s a vibey celebration of Cape Town’s street-car culture, as well as a captivating display of meticulously restored classic vehicles.
At the paddock located behind the Clubhouse, you’ll encounter an impressive gathering of exotic automobiles, including renowned brands like Porsche, Jaguar, and Alfa Romeo. But that’s not all – the show also hosts a diverse array of racing vehicles, both vintage and contemporary, alongside lovingly restored family cars from days gone by.
The unique aspect of this event is that almost all of these vehicles arrive under their own power; there’s no room for anything virtual or simulated here.
Family-friendly activities that will keep kids and teens engaged
Both young and old cal look forward to the exhilarating spectacle of lightning-fast radio-controlled model car racing, captivating model aircraft exhibitions, jaw-dropping motorcycle stunts, and, for the brave-hearted, an optional snake show.
The Du Noon Dancers, the vibrant Cape Minstrels, and the awe-inspiring drill squad of the Voorbrug Cadets are adding a distinct Cape Town flavour to the Killarney Motor Show. They promise to infuse the event with an unmistakable local charm.
Rev up the adrenaline with drift car and kart rides for all
Do you have what it takes to be daring? Embrace your adventurous side by experiencing the thrill of riding in a drift car. Let a skilled driver perform impressively controlled slides, power slides, and drifts on a closed course or track. It’s an adrenaline-pumping experience that allows you to feel the excitement of drifting without needing to be the one behind the wheel.
Included in the lineup is a high-speed kart race on Killarney Raceway’s expansive 1km karting track and rediscover your inner child with an array of amusement rides suitable for all ages. And don’t forget to hop aboard a vintage tractor for a unique experience.
