Draw inspiration from the African continent to create a stylish, minimalist-inspired scheme with LIM

If you’re into a simple yet elegant and minimalist look for summer, be sure to visit LIM on Kloof Street. This specialist home and decor store in Cape Town offers a unique and select range of African collectables, throws, and handmade products that will add that extra special touch to your home.

Founder Pauline Mutlow was influenced by minimalist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and his motto “less is more” when she launched the store in March 1997. Hence the acronym, LIM. And over time the store has built a steady reputation for curating some unique and quality homeware and design statement pieces.

All furniture at the boutique store is handcrafted in the Western Cape. A small line of various furniture products for both home and office are available, as well as homeware and accessories. LIM’s blonde-wood stools, relaxed slipcover sofas and scatters are particularly great for creating an easy-breezy decor scheme with little fuss.
