Founder Pauline Mutlow, inspired by minimalist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and his "less is more" philosophy, launched LIM in March 1997. Since then, LIM has earned a solid reputation for offering quality homeware and statement design pieces.
All of LIM’s furniture is handcrafted in the Western Cape. It features a range of items for both the home and office. This includes stools, chairs, sofas, side tables, dining tables, desks, beds, and cabinets, as well as cosy throws, modern lighting designs, and much more, all in primarily wood, metal, and glass.
LIM also stocks a beautiful selection of ceramics and turned-wood accessories. Plus, perfect for gifting, LIM also has a signature LIM Scent. This unique blend captures the fresh, nostalgic scent of cut grass, the green and citrusy notes of petitgrain, and the warm, earthy sweetness of wild fig in a collection of products, including a room mist, candle and hand and body wash.
