Need to know

For dog-friendly shows, the Galileo sells a limited number of VID (Very Important Dog) tickets, which allow furry companions to join owners at the showing.

Dogs must be on a short leash, have their own blanket or small bed, and must be supervised and kept under control at all times. Owners must clean up after their furry friends, and they may give them small treats throughout the show. Overall, dog owners are expected to consider and respect all other attendees on the night.

If a dog becomes unruly or negatively impacts others, the Event Manager may intervene and ask the owner and dog to leave the premises. Aggressive dogs and/or dogs needing to be muzzled will be denied entry.

All proceeds from VID tickets at dog-friendly shows go to Happy Tails, a grassroots organisation dedicated to helping some of the Mother City’s most vulnerable dogs in Langa.
