From esports to casual gaming, the experiences on the convention’s top floor are meant for players of all ages and skill levels. Including activations for EA FC, Street Fighter, and Clash Royale, there’s a place for fans of all genres at Comic Con Cape Town. Here’s everything gamers need to know.

High School Esports League & eDiski Finals
Some of the country’s best EA FC players are meeting on the Telkom VS Gaming stage to compete for prizes, trophies, and bragging rights.
The HSEL is Telkom Gaming’s national school competition, giving students the opportunity to develop their skills in a competitive environment that promotes learning and fair play. Throughout the weekend, some of these young talents show up to the convention to play one another in hopes of bringing home glory for themselves and their school.
The eDiski finals are for semi-professional players, where many of the best EA FC players in the country compete to crown the tournament champion on the main stage. Players have been competing in a league season since March, with Comic Con hosting the finals that decide the ultimate champion.
Viewers can expect to see every match live on a big screen with dedicated shoutcasters, watching the game and the players’ reactions as the competitions progress. The finals become tense, as spectators witness every tackle, through ball, and power shot that could decide who wins and who loses. With players like Goliath’s ZaidApril and returning champion GG_Hamza10, supporters are encouraged to cheer on their favourite players as they compete for the national title.
Anyone motivated by watching the players on stage can sign up to play in the EA FC Free-to-Play Gaming setup. Players will compete in fast-paced knockout matches throughout the day and can join the fun regardless of skill level.

Samsung Mobile Gaming Arena
Mobile gamers will also get the chance to compete in free-to-play tournaments across various games and win prizes.

Another crowd favourite is back, as the Gran Turismo Musical Chairs activation once again delivers fast-paced, tag-team racing for 30 minutes every day, making sim racing a spectator sport.
Beyond competition, there are branded merchandise and hourly Bluetooth speaker giveaways, as well as exclusive Toyota x Comic Con merchandise on sale. Through social-first photo wall interactions, fans stand a chance to win a share of R20 000 in shopping vouchers.
