Must Love Hills
“It doesn’t start with murder. It starts with the joke in the group chat, the comment about what she’s wearing, the guy who keeps pushing after she’s said no.
MustLoveHills stands with women. We don’t tolerate any of it, at any level, and that includes the small stuff often ignored. We’re committed to creating a safe space for all, especially women, to enjoy this sport we love. We run weekly and you are always always welcome to join.
Tonight we’re joining our fellow run-crews for the Allyship Run. 5 to 6km from The Lighthouse at Mouille Point, 18h00 start.”

After 8 Sistahood
“As we mourn the women lost to violence, we invite women and non-binary folk to join us in true After 8 style: to grieve, rage, stitch, talk, remember, and simply be together in public space after dark.
We have one wonderful sista willing to host us around the Common, but we’d love a few more neighbourhood hosts. If you’re from the Rondebosch area and can help out, please send us a message.”

Join @runitstylish @marindeklerk @donnyduckie as we #RunForOurLives, a 24-hour non-stop awareness run around Rondebosch Common to take a stand against gender-based violence. Whether you run or walk, come for one loop or stay for hours, your presence makes a difference.”

Keep Her Safe
“A GLOBAL INVITATION TO THE RUNNING COMMUNITY
This week, we invite runners and running crews around the world to stand with us.
Wear BLACK 🖤 or PURPLE 💜 at your run.
For the first 1KM, run in silence – no words, just our feet moving and our steps speaking.
In memory of the fellow runner who went out for a run and never made it home.
Wherever you are, wherever you run, let’s come together agone running community.
One kilometre. One community. One message.
Let our feet speak.
Let our steps be heard.“

Run 4 Her
“As one of Cape Town’s women-only running communities, it is with heavy hearts that we have decided to dedicate this Saturday’s run to the memory of our sister, Elizabeth. 🕊️
Elizabeth’s story is a devastating reminder of the reality so many women face, and it has deeply shaken our running community and beyond.
This is not a trend.
This is not content.
This is not a moment to seek attention.
This is about a life.
A sister.
A daughter.
A family.
A woman whose life mattered.
We run this Saturday in her memory, in solidarity with her loved ones, and for every woman who deserves to feel safe while running, walking, going home, or simply living her life.
May Elizabeth never be reduced to a headline.
We remember her. We honour her. We stand together.”
More information via Instagram.
When: 19 September 2026 | From 7.30am
Where: Table Bay Mall

Run For Her
“She went out for a run. She should have come home.
This week’s Crew Run is dedicated to remembering the women whose lives have been taken by femicide.
Femicide is an ongoing crisis in South Africa. Awareness alone is not enough. Ending it requires all of us to recognise the violence women face, challenge what allows it to continue and refuse to accept it as normal.
We run to remember those we have lost, to stand in solidarity with women and to recognise that what we do after this run matters too.“
Wear black. Take a purple ribbon. Run for HER✊.”

When: 16 September 2026 | From 6pm
Where: SportSA Paarl
