Drag Queens Battle It Out With Madame Jojo’s Competition At Mavericks

For one night only, Mavericks hosts a fierce Drag Competition where some of Cape Town’s boldest queens fight for Madame Jojo’s crown.

The attention-grabbing performances are classic drag-show chic, with comedy acts and show-stopping lip-syncing from the Mother City’s fiery queens. Guests can expect dazzling looks, tons of charisma, and real drama throughout the night, as each queen does their best to outdo the other.

The event takes place in the club’s VIP Empire Lounge, Mavericks’ very own luxury section with deep leather couches reminiscent of 1920s gentlemen’s clubs, giving every viewer an exclusive experience as they take in the glamorous and provocative show.

But, there’s a twist: everyone is a judge. The audience decides the winner, who is then crowned the champion of Cape Town’s drag scene, taking it from Madame Jojo herself.
