With the kids school break in full swing, the Norval Foundation Learning Centre is hosting an exciting Holiday Programme running from 31 March to 4 April 2025.
The dynamic series of workshops are all designed to keep the little ones engaged, inspired, and creative during the school break. The programme is designed for all skill levels, and features hands-on workshops led by experienced art educators. Participants will be exposed to a variety of art mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media.
Here are all the Learning Centre workshops for March / April 2025
Autumn Tree creation
Young artists are invited to get creative in the hands-on Autumn Tree Creation Workshop. Using acrylic paints and soft felt, kids will craft their very own colorful autumn trees, capturing the vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows of the season. With step-by-step guidance from friendly instructors, children will learn fun techniques to make their trees come to life.

Wind Chime Clay Painting
In this creative session at Norval Foundation Learning Centre, kids will arrange decorative painted clay shapes, along with colorful mixed media, on pieces of wire or string to design their very own personalized windchimes. With a variety of materials to choose from, children will use their imagination to create a beautiful and unique windchime that’s perfect for hanging at home.

Mosaic Artwork Workshop
In this workshop, kids will dive into the world of mosaic, using colorful tiles to create a stunning dragonfly picture. It’s a fun and educational experience that will leave them buzzing with pride!

Learn how to make String Puppets from Scratch
Get crafty with recyclable materials to make your very own giraffe puppet. This eco-friendly workshop encourages creativity and resourcefulness, all while helping children develop their crafting skills. Once their giraffes are complete, they’ll have a fun, sustainably sourced puppet to play with and show off.

Canvas Leaf Painting

The programme is designed for children between the ages of 7-12 years old and is supervised by a team of experienced instructors and childcare professionals.
