Fine Art Africa Gallery, in association with the Hout Bay and Llandudno Art Fair, is planning a vibrant weekend of creativity at the 31 Harbour Road Art Fair. This three-day celebration of art will run from Friday, 31 January to Sunday, 2 February 2025, offering a rich tapestry of artistic expression for all to enjoy.
Here’s what you can look forward to at the 31 Harbour Road Art Fair weekend:

1. Opening Night Festivities
Kick off the weekend at the celebratory Opening Night on Friday, 31st January, from 5pm to 9pm. Toast to art and community with a glass of bubbly or kombucha while mingling with fellow art lovers rounded out by live music performances. The Nespresso Art Harbour shows off works by a team of 6 artists who turn waste into wonders.

2. A feast of artistic wonders
Dive into a dynamic weekend filled with solo and group exhibitions, gallery openings, storytelling sessions, and art-related talks. Stroll through captivating walkabouts, enjoy live music, and connect with the talented artists behind the creations.

3. Support for young artists
The Art Fair is more than a showcase – it’s an opportunity to give back. Participating artists and galleries have pledged 10% of sales to Intle Art, a non-profit organisation dedicated to equipping young artists with essential creative and business skills.

4. Explore Hout Bay’s attractions while you’re there
Step outside the gallery to discover the vibrant Bay Harbour Market, bustling with handmade crafts, jewellery, and delicious food stalls. Nearby, enjoy a sip of world-class spirits at the award-winning Hout Bay Harbour Distillery.

How to get join the art fair
You can also make a difference by getting involved:
- Donations: Donations help provide art materials and food for the students. Contributions can be made physically at the open classes
- Food Parcels: Every Saturday, meals are prepared for 30 or more students. You can donate food or pre-book a Saturday to bring a meal for the students
- Art and Commissions: Support artists by commissioning a custom painting for yourself or your organisation, or purchase an artwork from their collection
