TANG at V&A Waterfront is celebrating Women’s Day with a fabulous fashion and champagne brunch event, highlighted by their sensory-driven cuisine.
Get your friends and colleagues together and dine on a six-course Kaiseki menu, watch models parade a collection of playful yet sophisticated looks, and sip on bubbles from Moët & Chandon. There’s also the unique opportunity to interact with Cape Town’s renowned fashion designer, Kat van Duinen. Plus guests can arrive and create unique memories before leaving with a Dr Nerina Wilkinson + Associates Mystery Gift Bag. We break down some of the experiences to look forward to.
Sensory six-course Kaiseki tasting menu and Moët cocktails
Guests are greeted with a complimentary glass of Moët champagne or Moët Cocktail on arrival. The iconic French label is also setting up a bar space where bubbles and cocktails are served throughout the event for your own account.
For brunch, Tang is once again fine-tuning their signature Asian Fusion cuisine with a 6-course Kaiseki menu crafted under the guidance of Executive Chef Vixa Kalenga.
Kaiseki is the pinnacle of Japanese dining and the Women’s Day menu starts with a Shiso Oyster, Komodo sushi and the newly launched Peking Duck Bao Bun, followed by Yakimono course (seabass), seasonal vegetables, and rice dish, and finally ends off with a show-stopping dessert.
An intimate fashion showcase featuring Kat Van Duinen
Proudly Capetonian fashion label Kat van Duinen is showing two capsule runway collections at the restaurant. The Kat van Duinen woman is confident, sophisticated, and unapologetically stylish. The fashion show merges elements of resplendent fabrics, striking shapes, and luxurious leathers all assembled with a clear identity.
Kat van Duinen is one of the country’s leading luxury fashion and leather design houses with a firm focus on quality fabrics, impressive details and top-notch tailoring. The brand’s signature sustainable exotic leather pieces, as well as ready-to-wear collections, are underpinned by a minimalistic aesthetic and a vibrant African spirit.
