This Easter season, visit the V&A Waterfront for a host of events for both kids and the family as a whole. From movie screenings and music performances to meeting the Easter bunny, take time to connect with the family at one of the V&A Waterfront’s special events.

Bunny Beats Silent Disco

Hop, dance & glow at the V&A Waterfront with the most egg-citing family night of the Easter holidays! Slip on your glowing headphones, choose your vibe (kids’ bangers, family classics or feel-good anthems), and dance under the stars! Loads of family fun guaranteed.

Make sure to dress the part – think bunny ears, colourful Easter outfits, sparkly tutus, superhero bunnies… the more creative, the better! Best-dressed family, best kid costume and most spirited group all walk away with awesome goodies.

This celebration is a perfect evening outing for the whole family.

V&A Sunset Salsa

Visit the V&A Waterfront for a relaxed social tango by the water with DJ Sylvia Westcott spinning beautiful tango music.

Come watch the dancing, enjoy the music, or step onto the dance floor yourself.
This is not a performance, it’s a social dance experience, where everyone is welcome to take to the floor and join in.

Meet the Easter Bunny at the V&A Waterfront!

Hop on over to the V&A Waterfront on the Easter weekend for a magical moment the kids will love!

The friendly Easter Bunny will be out and about, ready to say hello, share some smiles, and pose for adorable photo opportunities. Bring the little ones to meet the bunny, snap a pic, and enjoy a great day at the V&A.

And if you’re lucky… you might just receive a free Easter egg.

Take the Stage Easter Weekend Show: Shannon-Leigh Botto, Vernon White and Blackstones Band

Enjoy an evening of expressive live music as part of the Take the Stage Easter Weekend Edition.

A dynamic crossover vocalist, Shannon-Leigh blends jazz, pop and R&B into an emotionally resonant sound. Known for her captivating stage presence and heartfelt storytelling, she brings both power and vulnerability to every performance. Having appeared on stages ranging from major festivals to theatrical productions, Shannon-Leigh continues to establish herself as a compelling voice in South Africa’s live music scene.

A gifted singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Mannenberg, Cape Town, Vernon White blends soulful melodies with rich Afrikaans and Xhosa musical traditions. Rooted in storytelling and emotional honesty, his performances reflect heritage, identity and lived experience. With the release of his single Drill of Afreeka and as a current member of the V&A Waterfront Buskers Programme, Vernon continues to emerge as a distinctive and authentic voice in South African music.

Known for their infectious stage presence and polished performances, Blackstones Band blend soulful vocals, rich harmonies and expert musicianship to create unforgettable live experiences. Their versatile setlist spans classic hits and modern favourites, delivering anything from feel-good grooves to full-scale party energy.

Buskers at the V&A Waterfront this Easter Weekend

This Easter, the V&A Waterfront comes alive with 34 incredible busking acts made up of 122 talented individuals.

If you’re looking for something vibrant to do, simply follow the sound of music, applause or laughter and you’ll discover live performances merged naturally into your day. You can catch the acts around the Union Castle Building (including nearby Alfred Square and Amphitheatre), around African Trading Port as it flows toward the Clock Tower, around Watershed & Nobel Square.

Expect everything from soulful instrumentalists, violinists, vocal and guitarist, marimba bands and traditional dance choirs to high-energy Zulu dancers bringing rhythm and heritage to life. Beyond the music, you may stumble upon mimes, jugglers, contortionists, rope-skipping acts and soccer freestylers, alongside balloon sculptors, face painters and portrait artists creating memorable family moments.
