A special set menu for Restaurant Week
De Tafel is currently offering a five-course signature style set menu for the Autumn edition of Restaurant Week, running until 5 May. The hushed, reverent atmosphere here is well suited to resident chef Gerard van Staden’s inventive take on decadent, and tasty cuisine.
Chef Gerard resists putting a label on his food. It is contemporary with a touch of Cape Town, and weaving many, many different cuisines that are inspired from different regions.
You can look forward to perfectly cooked duck with a dash of curry tomato vinaigrette, Cape Salmon served with a fresh dill velouté, and raspberry mousse plated beautifully with a wild berry compote to make the most of our seasonal harvest.
