A new Christmas classic is on its way. From visionary British director Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham, Blinded By The Light), Christmas Karma sees one of history’s greatest novels – Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – transformed into a fresh, festive and feel-good Christmas musical.

All About The Film
Gurinder Chadha’s Christmas Karma reimagines Dickens’ A Christmas Carol through a vibrant, modern British lens. Blending humour, heart, and social commentary, the film follows Mr. Sood (Kunal Nayyar), a wealthy but cold-hearted British-Indian businessman who believes money equals worth. Exploiting his staff and scorning festive cheer, he’s forced to confront his past, present, and future when visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve.
Through journeys with the Ghosts of Christmas Past (Eva Longoria), Present (Billy Porter), and Future (Boy George), Sood revisits his refugee childhood, sees the struggles of his underpaid employees, and faces a lonely fate if he doesn’t change. With help from his cab driver (Danny Dyer), he rediscovers compassion, family, and the true spirit of giving.
Set in multicultural London, the film bursts with colour, joy, and a genre-blending soundtrack featuring Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney, and Shaznay Lewis. Christmas Karma celebrates unity, kindness, and belonging—an uplifting, inclusive British classic for generations to come.
