Sip, Paint, and Make a Difference This Heritage Month with the Bartosch Foundation

This Heritage Month, support and uplift local communities with the Bartosch Foundation’s Sip & Paint event. This creative experience on 28 September supports young people from the Masiphumelele informal settlement, and lets you decorate your own beautiful floral summer wearables just in time for summer beach days. Here’s everything you need to know.

All About the Bartosch Foundation’s Sip & Paint

Enjoy a creative afternoon in celebration of Heritage Month, while giving back to a cause that makes a difference. This fundraiser is hosted in support of the Bartosch Foundation, an educational nonprofit dedicated to uplifting the youth of the Masiphumelele informal settlement. Through their Soccer and Educational program every Sunday, they provide free tutoring, stationery, mentorship, soccer training and equipment and a healthy meal to over 50 children. Once a month they also go on an educational outing broadening their horizons with a strong focus on environmental conservation. All proceeds go straight to the children.

Guests are invited to tap into their artistic side by painting their own summer beach bag and bucket hat; unique, wearable pieces that you can take home and treasure. No artistic experience is required; you will be guided every step of the way with floral designs, so all you have to bring is your creativity and a willingness to have fun. If you have a specific design in mind, you will be assisted in creating it. Children are welcome to join, making this the perfect family activity.

Adding to the experience, a selection of delicious wines will be served to sip as you work on your designs, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to celebrate South African heritage: enjoying art, wine, and community while supporting an initiative that empowers young people to build brighter futures.
