International Stars Good Neighbours & TEEKS Perform Live At GrandWest

Breakout artists from across the world are on their way to the Mother City, with indie-pop duo Good Neighbours and Maori singer Teeks performing at GrandWest for one night only.

Listeners can expect a night of dreamy melodies and soulful singing from some of the most exciting young artists in recent years, bringing an international flair to Cape Town’s thriving indie scene.

Good Neighbours, a duo made up of Oli Fox and Scott Verrill, broke through onto the scene with their debut hit Home: a track layered with 2000s indie rock nostalgia, dreamy & noisy production, and an emotional chorus that has since earned over 500 million Spotify streams and certified Platinum. They followed that success with their album Blue Sky Mentality, which further showcases their versatility, featuring hits reminiscent of genre staples like Foster the People, Empire of the Sun, and Portugal. The Man. In 2025, they were nominated for the Rising Star award at the BRITs.

The other headliner is New Zealand’s Teeks, whose sound is influenced by the R&B and soul greats that defined the 2000s and 2010s. With a velvety singing voice, classical instrumentation, and sentimental songwriting, Teeks feels like a blast from the past, bringing soulful sounds into the modern day, including the Double Platinum-certified South African favourite First Time. The concert is the singer’s first interaction with South Africans since performing the New Zealand National anthem at a rugby test match between New Zealand and South Africa in July 2023.

The show is presented by Breakout Events, well known for their Sunset Music Series, ParkLive Festival, and recently bringing Karyn White to Kirstenbosch. Attendees can expect a thoughtfully curated show that seamlessly moves from one genre to the next in one of Cape Town’s biggest arenas.
