Life can get pretty hectic, so it’s important to make time for some fun and new experiences. With technology advancing constantly, there’s always something new and exciting to try out.
Virtual Reality (VR) is now being used to create virtual museum tours and innovative applications in healthcare facilities. Even going to the movies is getting a tech upgrade, with better projection and sound making it an entirely new experience.
On top of this, we live in a world where everyone is a gamer but not everyone has the means to enjoy it. This is where gaming hubs and arcades come in, providing access to gaming experiences for people of all ages.
We’ve partnered with Energade to bring you immersive VR experiences in Cape Town. The new Energade BOOST energy drink, now available in a 440ml can, gives you the push you need to beat your slump.

Another incredible use of VR is in creating unique and interactive media experiences. The District 6 Museum, in association with the Academy of Digital Arts (ADA), has developed a virtual version of District 6 before its demolition, allowing museum attendees to immerse themselves in this historically significant area.
Launched as part of the 30th anniversary of the museum, this project aims to preserve history and connect with legacy through cutting-edge technology. Using VR, visitors can walk around the area and truly experience what it was like.
Archival team director Zeenat Patel-Kaskar ensured that meticulous attention to detail was paid, making the virtual experience as accurate as possible for those exploring it.
This project not only engages and educates young people through technology but also shows us that we can preserve history in a digital format for future generations.
