The HoodLinkd Guide to Wellness in the City

Summer is finally here. And for those of us who struggle to meet that ’10k steps a day’ goal while working from home (not counting the steps from desk to kitchen to bathroom, of course), the HoodLinkd team has selected a few of their favourite Health and Fitness spots in the CBD. Right there in your hood, waiting to be explored and supported by you.

Let us know how you like them by simply taking a picture at their premises and tagging them and #hoodlinkd on Instagram or Facebook. We are looking forward to getting you ready for summer!

What is HoodLinkd

HoodLinkd is a not so brand-new anymore web-based app that connects customers with businesses in a specified area. It’s about ‘local is lekker’ via a funky, comprehensive, and easy-to-use platform – without any limits with regards to type or size of business.

The idea for HoodLinkd grew out of a passion to support small and medium-sized local businesses by offering them a convenient and affordable platform to connect with their target market. Their goal is to assist businesses in improving their online presence, maximising their local customer base, and strengthening their neighbourhood’s economy.

HoodLinkd has been designed to offer maximum convenience for users. True to the slogan ‘Your hood in one app’, the team features an electronic business directory (Bye Bye Yellow Pages), an event calendar, and weekly updated specials/deals by local businesses.

Keep an eye on their Deals section. It’s a game-changer for everyone looking to save while exploring the city. Users simply filter by industry or keyword and get instant access to promotions offered by local businesses.

Whereas users can register for free, businesses can choose between different packages (ranging from free to premium versions). To download the app, simply go to on your mobile device and follow the pop-up instructions.
