Extended hours for summer
The peak season operating hours from 1 December to 31 January are designed to help you make the most of your visit. The first cable car departs at 8am, with the last ride up at 8pm and the final trip down at 9pm. That means you’ll have plenty of time to catch the breathtaking Cape Town sunset that everyone raves about or choose a quieter slot to beat the crowds.
Plus Table Mountain Aerial Cableway will be open on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, weather permitting.
Kids get a FREE activity book
Throughout the summer school holidays, young visitors will be treated to a free kids’ activity book that comes packed with fun puzzles and games to keep them entertained while families enjoy the scenic wonders of Table Mountain.

The free guided walks are offered hourly from 9am to 3pm and depart from the Twelve Apostles Terrace, weather permitting.

Fuss-free parking and shuttle ride with Park and Ride
Due to the ongoing roadworks along Tafelberg Road and limited parking, visitors are highly recommended to use e-hailing services or enjoy the Cableway’s complimentary park-and-ride shuttle services that regularly depart the parking lot at the bottom of Tafelberg Road.
