Meuse Farm: A Bespoke Farm to Table Experience in Hout Bay

Garden Day at Meuse Farm

This Garden Day, Meuse Farm is taking a moment to slow down, appreciate, and celebrate all the wonderful growth on the farm, and guests are encouraged to join for a casual, community gathering.

Art director and designer, Cayley, will guide guests through a 1 hour workshop making fynbos flower crowns. Take your time getting creative, playful and spark some joy. Take a meander before settling down to brunch, and weave in your own selection of botanicals from the farm. Enjoy a two-course seasonal brunch menu and settle in for some creativity in the beautiful Meuse Farm space.

Cost: R650pp. Includes welcome drink, workshop, and 2 course brunch. Tickets available on the website.

Beyond The Bottle: Chef Caitlin x Painted Wolf Wines

Hosted monthly, Meuse Farm’s Beyond the Bottle series highlights local winemakers and allows them to explain their craft and process. With 20 guests per seating, this exclusive personalised experience allows for tasting and exploration of some of the talents of local winemaking.

October’s winemaker is Painted Wolf Wines, who champion not only in their craft, but nature conservation as well. Chef’s Caitlin’s personalised menu pairs perfectly with each of the four wines available on the evening.

Cost: R1150pp. Includes welcome drink, 4 course menu, wine pairing, and meet & greet with Painted Wolf winemaker, Fred Loffler. Tickets available on the website.

A Peaceful Retreat with Curated Offerings

Nestled in the greenery of Hout Bay, Meuse Farm is a nature-inspired venue hosting various types of celebrations, from special birthday and wedding events, to quiet meetings and energetic group activities.

The two open-plan buildings made of wood and glass give you access to grounding, earthy structures filled with natural light and expansive views, while providing ample space for multiple purposes. In the evenings the fairy lights, and open fire are the perfect addition to this breathtaking setting.

The versatile space accommodates 4 to 50 seated guests, and approximately 60 for mingling, non- seated events.

Flavour-Packed Dishes with Locally Sourced Produce

Meuse Farm’s head chef, Caitlin Kennedy, creates a variety of menus, offering flavour packed dishes that are a celebration of truly local, seasonal produce. Almost everything on the plates is grown on the premises, and what isn’t has been carefully sourced from similar local and likeminded suppliers.

Meuse Farm focuses on growing food with flavour through careful selection of varieties, and practices that maintain healthy soil ecosystems. Over the past several seasons, they’ve delivered high-quality produce to restaurants such as Fyn, Salsify at the Roundhouse, and the Chefs Warehouse Group, which has led to great relationships, and exciting collaborations.
