All About Joostenberg Farm and Winery Walks

The Joostenberg Farm and Winery Walks allows guests to explore the vineyards, historical farm werf buildings and wine cellars. The event starts at 9.30am, with a welcome coffee and pastry to start the experience, and finishes at 12 noon with a tasting of a variety of the estate wines.

The Joostenberg Farm and Winery Walks give visitors a look at how the estate is run using various organic and regenerative methods, and shows how the farmers focus on soil health in the vineyards to keep the ecosystem balanced. This philosophy carries over into the winery where the winemaking is kept simple and natural.

The route passes through several historic farm buildings from the 1700s that have been updated from their original uses into modern cellars and production spaces. The experience ends with a wine tasting, in which visitors can try the wines right there on the farm.

Guests are welcome to extend their visit to the wine farm after the tour has ended, and enjoy either a three-course farm lunch at The Kraal Restaurant or a light cheese lunch (both at an additional cost).
