Easter at Spier this year offers a variety of ways to make memories at this ultimate family-friendly getaway and art destination in the Cape. The wine farm is running a bumper lineup of great events for both kids and grown-ups that’s can’t be missed.
Easter Wonderland Scavenger Hunt
For an Easter egg hunt that takes the excitement factor to a different level for both kids and adults, Spier’s scavenger hunt allows the little ones to roam the farm in search of a fun Easter prize. Find an Easter Bunny clue in five different locations and collect stickers along the way. Once the map is completed with all five stickers, it may be exchanged for a parcel filled with delicious Easter treats. The hunt is suitable for kids aged 3 to 12 years.
Adults can sample Spier’s award-winning wines at multiple wine tasting stations along the route.

Sweet Treats and Easter Feast at Vadas Smokehouse
Tuck into a delicious Easter lunch or dinner at Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery, with fresh hot cross buns and pasteis de nata available too.
Nestled beneath ancient oaks on Spier’s historic Werf, Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery celebrates the art of wood-fired cooking. E
thically raised meats from Farmer Angus and seasonal vegetables from our Food Garden come together to create a thoughtful, farm-to-plate dining experience. Families can savour honest, hearty dishes while children run free on our farm’s open lawns.

Share a Picnic Basket this Easter
Make memories with loved ones this Easter – what better way to do that than by sharing fresh, nourishing food straight from the farm and trusted local suppliers.
Collect your basket from the Picnickery, remember to order 24 hours before you arrive at the farm, lay down your blanket and celebrate the flavours of Easter. Open your basket to find freshly baked hot cross buns, tender miso roast lamb, flavoursome pickled fish and much more. The basket includes a complimentary bottle of our award-winning Seaward wine with every double basket booked.

Stay Until Dusy to See The Spier Light Art Showcase
Spier’s iconic Light Art display is open to the public once again. The wine farm is transformed into an outdoor gallery, with visitors being free to wander among the lights under the stars.
Spier hosts nineteen site-specific art installations activating the landscape, and visitors are free to wander, discover, and immerse themselves in the play of light and the stories that each artwork tells.
Attendees of the exhibit can also enjoy a curated picnic box or a meal at one of Spier’s bespoke restaurants. Enjoy a glass of wine while you’re there, and immerse yourself in the wonders of the lights.
