Comic Con Cape Town: Meet the Icons Behind Your Favourite Characters

Comic Con Cape Town 2026 is once again stacked with activities, events, and entertainment for fans from all sides of pop culture. There will also be many familiar faces gracing the convention floor, with the opportunity to take pictures with your favourite heroes and villains from anime, Harry Potter, and beyond.

These celebrities all feature on live panel discussions to answer questions about their respective careers, and can be booked for autographs and photo opportunities throughout the weekend.

Here’s a rundown on who is appearing:

Christopher Sabat

Anyone who has watched anime in English is likely to have heard Christopher Sabat’s voice. The legendary voice actor, director, and producer has brought to life some of anime’s most iconic characters. From Prince Vegeta to Roronoa Zoro and All Might, his voice has defined generations of anime.

Beyond the mic, he has shaped the English dubbing world as the voice director for Dragon Ball Z and the founder of the audio production company Okratron 5000, leaving a legacy both on screen and behind the scenes.

Christopher will be speaking live on the Mainstage to celebrate a career that has shaped a generation of anime fans.

Jason Liebrecht

Jason Liebrecht is famous for voicing fan-favourite characters across some of anime’s biggest franchises, including Dabi in My Hero Academia, Rob Lucci in One Piece, and Beru in Solo Leveling amongst many others.

His performances have made him a standout voice in modern anime, alongside his gaming roles in franchises like Borderlands, Shadow Warrior, and Street Fighter. He has also appeared in many films, TV shows, and theatre productions, making him one of the most versatile performers working today.

Jason will be featured in panel discussions to answer questions about his extensive list of roles in pop culture.

Evanna Lynch

Best known to millions as the unforgettable Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series, Evanna Lynch is an Irish actress, author, and activist whose impact stretches far beyond the wizarding world.

Since her time at Hogwarts, Evanna has appeared as a voice actress in various short films and written a critically acclaimed memoir. Off-screen, she is a passionate advocate for animal rights and mental health awareness, using her platform to champion compassion for others and the environment.

Evanna will be on the Mainstage on Friday and Saturday, discussing her work as one of fiction’s most beloved characters, and the remarkable life she’s built beyond it.

Callum Kerr

Scottish actor, model, and country singer Callum Kerr appears in Netflix’s live-action One Piece as
Smoker, the formidable Marine captain. He is also known for his roles in Monarch alongside Susan Sarandon and Trace Adkins, as well as amazing appearances in Virgin River, The Wheel of Time, Hollyoaks, and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Alongside his acting career, Callum is an accomplished country artist, blending Southern influences with
modern storytelling as he builds a growing presence in the music scene. A fan favourite at conventions,
Callum is known for his engaging personality, behind-the-scenes insights, and genuine passion for meeting
fans.

Jazzara Jaslyn

An award-winning South African actress, writer, and director, Jaslyn has built a versatile career spanning international television, film, and elite stage productions. Also a Cape Town resident, she is a graduate of UCT’s Theatre and Performance program. Jaslyn is widely recognised for her role as Miss Valentine in the second season of Netflix’s global hit One Piece. Her impressive television credits include starring as Jane Swann in the action-thriller Professionals (alongside Brendan Fraser), Eliza Pendleton in HBO’s Warrior, and Miranda Hugo in the M-Net drama Lioness. On stage, she has garnered acclaim for her performance as Alex Forrest in the adaptation of Fatal Attraction. Beyond acting, her 2024 debut short film, A Knowing, received nine international awards, and she recently released her 2026 project, Strange Dance.

Martial T Batchamen

A Cameroonian-born actor and voice artist who grew up in South Africa, Martial has built a career across
international film and television. He has appeared in productions including Redeeming Love, Tali’s Joburg Diary, and Unseen. Martial’s career continues to grow on the global stage with his casting in the hit live-
action adaptation of One Piece, where he portrays the beloved pirate musician Brook.

Steven John Ward

A South African actor, producer, and writer best known internationally for his breakout role as Mihawk in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece. A true local, Ward is a graduate of the AFDA School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance in Cape Town. With a rapidly growing international profile and a strong connection with audiences worldwide, he remains one of South Africa’s most exciting talents.

Tyrone Keogh

Another South African actor, Keogh began his acting career with various related production jobs as a
scenic set painter, set builder, propsman and animal wrangler. At 16, he started appearing in TV
commercials for brands like Vodacom UK, Pepsi USA, Opel Europe, Nestlé, and KFC. His first film role was as young Michael Kittridge in Blast. He featured in Blood Diamond (with Leonardo DiCaprio), The Deal (with Meg Ryan), Goodbye Bafana (with Joseph Fiennes) and Starship Troopers Marauder. He has appeared in many international television serials, such as Dominion, Homeland, and Black Sails. In 2026, Keogh acted as Dalton in season two of Netflix’s One Piece.

All of these actors, part of the supporting cast of One Piece‘s second season, will appear together on the Main Stage to discuss anime, the show’s local production, and answer fan questions.
