The 5th Annual Cape Town Resort Collections Brings Haute Looks for the Holiday

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 7 December, as some of South Africa’s leading designers head to the Mother City for the 5th annual Cape Town Resort Collections. This year’s showcase will take place at the Norval Foundation in Tokai. On the programme is a dazzling fusion of fashion, art, and culture while honouring proudly local creativity and craftsmanship.

A pioneering and collaborative platform for African fashion

Over the past five years, the Cape Town Resort Collections has established itself as a premier platform for both emerging and established designers. “This platform was created to elevate African fashion globally while championing sustainability and emerging talent,” says Gavin Rajah, convenor of the Cape Town Resort Collections. “Our 5th anniversary celebrates the resilience and cultural richness of our designers.”

This year’s event reflects its commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation, spearheaded by initiatives like the Futurewear Programme—a collaboration between Gavin Rajah and Pick n Pay Clothing. “We are proud to support a platform that not only celebrates the incredible creativity of South African designers but also nurtures emerging talent through initiatives like Futurewear,” explains Hazel Pillay, Head of Pick n Pay Clothing. “The Cape Town Resort Collections embodies the spirit of innovation, sustainability, and empowerment that aligns perfectly with Pick n Pay Clothing’s vision.”
