The luxurious fine-dining restaurant at the Mount Nelson is collaborating with Vilafonté Winemakers and ANTHM Cocktail Bar to present exclusive dinner experiences that explore premium wines, cocktails, and seafood.
Amura opened last year under the leadership of Michelin-starred chef Ángel León and head chef Arlind Harizaj, bringing signature Andalusian dishes to Cape Town, with a particular focus on combining Spanish-style seafood with South Africa’s rich ocean biodiversity. Since debuting, the restaurant has been included on TIME’s 2026 Greatest Places list and has garnered a local reputation as one of the premier destinations for unique seafood dishes in a space that evokes the feeling of being at sea aboard a lavish ocean liner.

Amura x Vilafonté Winemakers Dinner
Perfect for fine wine enthusiasts, this dinner experience features a multi-course menu guided by León’s seafood-first philosophy, paired with Vilafonté’s prestigious wines. The Chef’s Journey menu includes carefully crafted highlights, such as scallop sashimi, plankton risotto, and dry-aged sea bass, among other favourites. Meanwhile, Vilafonté are known for their award-winning wines from the heart of the Cape Winelands, including their Series M, Series C, and flagship Seriously Old Dirt collection.

Amura X Anthm Bar: A Chef & Cocktail Journey
This ocean-led dining experience pairs premium seafood with bespoke cocktails crafted by an acclaimed Japanese mixologist. Tetsuo Hasegawa, from Loop Street’s beloved ANTHM Cocktail Bar, draws on the bartending cultures of New York and Japan while bringing in the Cape’s natural ingredients.
For the evening, guests experience Amura’s Chef’s Journey menu, featuring freshly caught oysters and langoustine with sweetcorn and dark chocolate, alongside premium cocktails created exclusively for the experience. The cocktail pairings are a mystery, with guests experiencing these curated concoctions for the first time at the dinner. There is also a non-alcoholic option available for non-drinkers.
Guests can expect a luxury night of good food and innovative drinks where every element – from the music to the glassware – is carefully designed to enhance the experience.
