The series dedicated to one of South Africa’s most daring, authentic motorsports, Spinners, is coming out with Season 2. Now that Ethan and his friends have escaped the dangerous gang life in the Cape Flats, they move on to their next dangerous challenge: Johannesburg.
Here’s everything viewers need to know.

More about Spinners Season 2
Continuing the story of Ethan, Trevor, Shane, Angelo, and Amber, Spinners‘ latest story follows the crew as they pursue fame and fortune on the Johannesburg spinning circuit.
After overcoming the difficulties of gang life in Cape Town, the group tries their luck in a brand-new environment. But bigger dreams bring bigger risks, as new rivals pose a serious threat and Ethan’s past comes back to haunt him.
With Johannesburg’s fiercely competitive spinning scene as the new playground, Spinners‘ second season takes the energetic stunts and on-screen action to the next level. Set against South Africa’s unique spinning culture, the show explores the price of success, loyalty, crime, power, and the difficulty of escaping one’s past.
How does Johannesburg change Ethan and his crew? Who are the Masekos, and what are they scheming in the background? What is spinning culture, and how do women fit in? And, lastly, how do you take a distinctly South African story and bring it to international audiences?
Watch all eight episodes of the new season, premiering on October 25, to find out.

Cast & Crew
Viewers will be keen to see some familiar faces in Season 2, while completely new voices threaten to shake things up for the Spinners crew.
Cantona James, known for his roles in Arendsvlei and Blood & Water, continues his breakout role as Ethan in Spinners Season 2. James is a self-described method actor, immersing himself in Cape Town’s spinning culture, and even doing some of Ethan’s physical stunts himself. His Season 1 performance earned him the Best Performance award at the Dakar Séries, a pan-African television festival held in Senegal.
Ethan’s close-knit group remains the show’s heartbeat, with many fan favourites returning. Braeden Buys reprises his role as Trevor, alongside Chelsea Thomas as Amber, and Dillon Windvogel as Shane.
Mondli Makhoba (best known as Ngomane in Shaka iLembe) joins the cast as the bodyguard of Ma’Sithole, played by veteran screen presence Clementine Mosimane (Thandi Mazwai in Soul City). They, alongside Luyanda Zwane as Amahle & Aphiwe Mkefe as Sayi, form part of the newly introduced Maseko crime family. These new faces change the dynamic of the show’s central characters, whether as allies, rivals, or simply a powerful new force in Johannesburg.
Joachim Landau and showrunner Benjamin Hoffman continue to co-create the series, with Jaco Bouwer returning as director and Matthew Jankes and Sean Steinberg back as head writers.
