After taking Cape Town by storm with a string of sold-out events, Evil Comedy is back with a new venue at District and the same crowd killers. A staple of Cape Town’s comedy scene, Evil Comedy is coming to you live on 28 May, with a lineup stacked with South Africa’s finest funny people. Here’s everything you need to know.

Leading the Lineup: The Faces of Evil Comedy

Headlining this edition of Evil Comedy is no other than Lazola Gola – one of the country’s most successful comedians, writers and directors. Known for his off-beat humour and playful precense both on and off screen, Lazola is sure to make even the most stern of attendees chuckle.

The special guest for the evening is Khanyisile Ngwenya, fresh off her 2025 Savanna Comic’s Choice Newcomer Award win. Khanyisile’s comedy is celebrated for her authentic voice, magnetic charm, and effortless delivery, and she’ll be sure to bring it all to Evil Comedy.

The other comedians taking the stage include 2024 Savanna Newcomer Award winner Callum Hitchcock, Book Club Comedy founder Sarah Abraham, and Jive Funny Championship finalist Roland du Preez – all funny folk who’ll have you rolling in your seats.
