Event information
The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa's BMW Centre for Art Education hosts One Press Wonders, its winter school holiday workshop series, across five daily sessions from 29 June to 3 July 2026. The programme is themed around printmaking, the term "one press" referring to single-impression printing techniques, and offers children hands-on art-making workshops inspired by current exhibitions in the museum.
Activities are structured at different levels of complexity to accommodate a range of ages and skill levels, with different projects offered each day. The workshops are facilitated by qualified studio assistants, and children are supervised at all times. Each session runs from 10am.
The programme is open to children aged 6 and older. Younger siblings aged 5 and under are welcome to participate if accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout. Parents and guardians drop off and collect children from the reception area and are not required to remain for the full session; those wishing to visit the museum during the session pay standard adult admission of R265.
Booking is essential through Webtickets as spaces are limited. Workshop fees contribute to Zeitz MOCAA's community access programmes, which enable children from under-resourced communities to attend holiday and educational programmes at the museum.
