Event information
'Barefoot Carpenter' Connor Trembath, hosts a woodcarving class at NUDE FOODS where attendees learn about the fundamentals of woodcarving and whittling, and the many forms of carving.
The experience aims to leave them with a better understanding of the grain of wood, so that they might gain more insight into how trees grow and how they experience life and stress. Another aim is to instill them with a greater reverence for wood, and a deeper respect and appreciation for the wooden articles in their lives.
Attendees are also guided through a free-form exploration of carving with an array of quality tools and beautiful timbers. Wood and tools are made available for a variety of styles, but interested parties should be aware that this is a physically exerting workshop involving mild cut hazards.
The activity is suited to adults and teenagers over the age of 13.
