Following a sold-out Summer Season, the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra brings an exciting and diverse programme over the Winter season to warm the hearts of all music lovers.
The Winter Symphony Season runs from 30 May to 20 June with concerts taking place every Thursday evening. The programme includes the return of popular conductors, and debut performances by an exciting line-up of soloists.
Winter Concert 4, the last of the Winter concerts, stars highly acclaimed South African-based pianist and lecturer, Ben Schoeman as soloist with Daniel Raiskin conducting. Under the conduction of the internationally acclaimed Raiskin, who brings his talents all the way from his native Russia, Schoeman and the Orchestra are sure to present a performance that harnesses the original soul of the classic pieces chosen for this concert.
The programme features performances of Andrée's 'Concert Overture in D Major', Beethoven's 'Piano Concerto No. 4, Op. 58', and Grieg's 'Symphony in c minor'.
