The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra brings an exciting and diverse programme to warm the hearts of all music lovers this winter.
Winter Concert 3, held on 18 June, stars award-winning bayanist Stanislav Venglevski as soloist with acclaimed and imaginative conductor Daniel Boico returning for two of the Winter Season concerts as lead.
The programme features performances of the following pieces:
-Brahms Academic Festival Overture, Op. 80
-Ichmouratov Concerto for Bayan (World Première)
-Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4, Op. 36 in f minor
The Winter Symphony Season runs from 4 to 25 June with concerts taking place every Thursday evening. The programme includes the return of popular conductors, and debut performances by an exciting line-up of soloists.
